How to Replace your PSP TFT-LCD Screen |
3 Sep |
Scratches? Dust under screen? Cracked Screen? Most people at this point get frustrated at their PSP and break their PSP’s or they throw them away. Unfortunately people do not understand that the PSP is one of the most customizable handheld systems out there. You can not only change things like faceplates, but you can also replace broken LCD screens.
An average PSP TFT-LCD screen costs around 50-70 dollars, and that is way less then going out of your way to buy a 3.10 firmware PSP for $200.
Below is a guide i found on how to replace the LCD screen, and a great site to pick up the PSP TFT-LCD screens for the replacement. To replace a PSP screen it takes a screw driver and around 10 minutes.
How to Replace an PSP TFT-LCD:
Ok, now we can get started on the guide. Here is what you are gonig to need to complete the [...]

BLOG: Obituary: PSP 2000 |
5 Aug |
Or why the PSP is dead to me.
I’ve owned a PSP for years. In fact, I’ve owned two: a launch version (sold to me by my brother), and a PSP-2000, which was funded by selling my launch version. Nintendo World Report readers probably don’t know that when the PSP and the DS were first announced, I was of the opinion that Sony’s handheld would dominate the market and quickly sink Nintendo’s new device. My rationale was simple: the PSP had a big, sexy screen, PS2-quality visuals, and functioned as a multi-purpose media platform. My thoughts on the DS largely amounted to “it’s a GBA with a second screen.” The launch model was also ugly and bulky—nowhere near as attractive (in terms of form) as the sleeker, blacker PSP. Well, we all know what happened next: the DS skyrocketed into the sales stratosphere where it has continued to stay ever since [...]

Angry Birds flying to PS3, PSP and DS |
3 Aug |
If you’ve ever played Angry Birds, the headline above has already made your day. If you’ve played Angry Birds only to have a friend / significant other snatch it away — a cruel reminder of your iPhone-less existence — then the above headline has undoubtedly left you positively elated. Yes, Chillingo’s Joe Wee has confirmed to The Sun that the addictive, Boom Blox-esque puzzler is headed to “Nintendo DS, Sony PSP and PS3.”
The fact the game is slated for PS3 and PSP would suggest that Angry Birds will be released as a Mini, though Chillingo wouldn’t provide Joystiq with any concrete details. Hopefully we’ll hear more at Gamescom later this month.
Angry Birds flying to PS3, PSP and DS originally appeared on Joystiq on Mon, 02 Aug 2010 20:30:00 EST. Please see our terms for use of feeds.

3DS vs. PSP, PS2 and GameCube |
18 Jun |
Most of the chatter we hear about the 3DS is the autostereoscopic 3D screens, but there’s also a huge advancement in it’s graphical capabilities. Although the biggest part of having good graphics is in the hands of the artists that make them, I think this can provide a good idea of what can be achieved on the 3DS from a technical standpoint.

Marvelous focuses on PSP development in fiscal 2011 |
26 May |
It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, given the company’s recent executive pay cuts and low sales figures, that Marvelous Entertainment is looking to cut costs in fiscal 2011 by reducing its lineup of games slightly. Siliconera points out a slide from the company’s latest earnings report (Japanese PDF downloadable at the bottom of the window) that shows only ten releases for the period between April 1, 2010 and March 31, 2011. That’s down two from the previous year. The biggest move comes from the DS lineup, which is reduced from six games to just one.
Also unsurprisingly, Marvelous is putting emphasis on PSP games. PSP development was the segment of Marvelous’s game business that paid off in the last year, and the publisher is putting out more games there — four — than anywhere else in fiscal 2011. That includes the RPG Fate/Extra and the humiliating fighter Ikki Tousen: [...]

DSi vs. PSP 3000 |
7 May |
PSP 3000 And the DSi review. Which one I think is better for the money. Cameo song is Hollywood Undead – Undead. One thing I forgot to talk about is games. DSi has a lot of (in my opinion) “kiddish” games, and only a few “hardcore” games like GTA and call of duty. Unfortunately for that because FPS games work better on ds than PSP. PSP has a lot of shooter games and also family games. In my opinion I like PSP games better. There both great systems just I wish the DSi could play video, that would make it so much better.

Despicable Me games coming to Wii, DS, PS2 and PSP in July |
27 Apr |
D3Publisher has announced details on its upcoming batch of Despicable Me games, coming to Wii, DS, PS2 and PSP this July. Coinciding with the animated film’s debut and mirroring its premise of a supervillain (voiced by Steve Carell) plotting to steal the moon, Despicable Me: The Game lets you “experience the thrill of being downright despicable” and purchasing a licensed movie game.
You’ll assume the role of supervillain Gru, who must use various gadgets, weapons and an army of minions to solve puzzles, pull off “the biggest heist in history” and best his rival, Vector. (Presumably, the game is over when Vector has been beaten by, uh, Gru.)
Despicable Me: The Game will launch on the Wii, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable — courtesy of Monkey Bar Games — while a separate title, Despicable Me: The Game – Minion Mayhem is being cooked up (Fillet Minion joke goes here) just [...]
